Towards the Third Millennium Changes in Siberian Triple Tree-Ring Stable Isotopes

چکیده

Significant air temperature and precipitation changes have occurred since the 2000s in vulnerable Siberian subarctic regions urged updates of available chronologies towards third millennium. It is important to better understand recent climatic compared past decades, centuries even millennia. In this study, we present first annually resolved triple tree-ring isotope dataset (?13C, ?18O ?2H) for eastern part Taimyr Peninsula (TAY) northeastern Yakutia (YAK) from 1900 2021. We found that novel largely unexplored ?2H larch cellulose was linked significantly with YAK site, which affected by averaged April–June temperatures evaporation. Simulated Land Surface Processes Exchanges (LPX-Bern 1.0) model, water fraction per year soil depths at 0–20 20–30 cm new eco-hydrological data. Our results suggest increasing evapotranspiration response trees’ relation rising thaw uptake lower (20–30 cm) depth. A positive effect July on a negative impact were found, indicating dry conditions. The ?13C both sites showed correlations relative humidity, confirming environmental conditions

Pooled versus separate measurements of tree-ring stable isotopes.

δ(13)C and δ(18)O of tree rings contain time integrated information about the environmental conditions weighted by seasonal growth dynamics and are well established as sources of palaeoclimatic and ecophysiological data. Annually resolved isotope chronologies are frequently produced by pooling dated growth rings from several trees prior to the isotopic analyses. This procedure has the advantage...

Stable isotopes in tree rings

Stable isotopes in tree rings could provide palaeoclimate reconstructions with perfect annual resolution and statistically defined confidence limits. Recent advances make the approach viable for non-specialist laboratories. The relevant literature is, however, spread across several disciplines, with common problems approached in different ways. Here we provide the first overview of isotope dend...

Receptor chemistry towards the third millennium.

A brief survey of the history of the development of the concept of the pharmacological receptor is presented. From the pioneering concepts of Paul Ehrlich, John Langley and others, receptors are described in terms of their recognition properties, their structures, transducing abilities and the impact of genomics and their role in contributing to genetic diseases. The receptor concept has firmly...

Uniform climate sensitivity in tree-ring stable isotopes across species and sites in a mid-latitude temperate forest.

Tree-ring stable isotopes, providing insight into drought-induced eco-physiological mechanisms, are frequently used to reconstruct past changes in growing season temperature and precipitation. Their climatic response is, however, still not fully understood, particularly for data originating from non-extreme, mid-latitude environments with differing ecological conditions. Here, we assess the res...
